DIVEMASTER COURSE
The Divemaster course is developing, exciting and will make you a professional dive leader and a member of PADI.
The requirements for signing up for the Divemaster course are:
- You have to be at least 18 years old
- You have to have at least 20 logged dives (60 before certification)
- You are certified as a PADI Rescue Diver
The Divemaster course normally takes two to three weeks, depending on how much you study in advance. If you have prepared well and have good knowledge in diving, the course can be done in two weeks. It's always the student who set the pace by preparing and study as much as possible before.
A large part of your Divemaster training is spent on developing your skills and your ability to demonstrate things. You will become a better diver and you will be able to demonstrate and teach different parts of the courses. We also do some swim tests during this part.
The most interesting part of the course is when you dive in company with certified divers and students taking a course. You will learn to assist instructors while they teach their courses. Here you will see that training with real students is the best way to learn.
You will also learn how to assist certified divers with planning and execution of dives. As a whole, we believe these two weeks during your Divemaster course will be the most fun you have ever had.
With PADI Divemaster you will become qualified to:
- Lead dive trips
- Organize dive and safety activities on land and on boats
- Assist PADI instructors with students during training
- Hold PADI Discover Local Diving experience and Scuba Review program for certified divers
- Hold PADI Discover Snorkeling experience and PADI Skin Diver course
- Divemaster certification is also required before taking the Assistant Instructor course and/or the Instructor Development Course - "IDC" as it's commonly known.
